AN OASIS IN A ROCK
In the midst of a terrain marked by steep slopes and a rugged, even agrarian topography due to the abundant presence of rock, a work of architecture emerges that dialogues with the challenging nature of the surroundings. The structure, an ingenious response to the harshness of the landscape, manages to articulate a rear façade that opens onto a courtyard, letting in light and facilitating cross ventilation that becomes the very essence of the design.
This oasis amidst the ruggedness of the terrain not only provides a visual respite, but also becomes a space of connection with the surrounding nature. From all areas of the house there is a direct connection to the outside, either through the main façade, the rear courtyard, or both, in the case of the more enjoyable areas.
A HIGHLY DETAILED DESIGN
The carefully selected materials bring a touch of nobility to the construction, using stone, wood and metal to fuse solidity with modern elegance. Stone becomes a fundamental element that links the building to its surroundings and to carefully designed encounters. On the other hand, wood and metal add a slightly more contemporary and lighter dimension to the design.
Meticulous attention is paid to every detail, as is the case, for example, with the design of joinery specifically for the windows in this project, concealing all mechanisms and leaving only smooth surfaces that contrast with the roughness of the adjacent rock. This consideration to the smallest detail underlines the importance of meticulousness in this project, where every element has been conceived with precision and care.
